This beetle can be found all over Europe, flies from April to September and likes to sit in flowers.
You can find them in bushy countryside, gardens, parks and at the edges of forests.
The rose chafer is 1.5 to 2 cm in size and very varied in colour.
It can be green, golden or even multicoloured.
The white spots on its forewings also vary.
Cetonia aurata feeds on pollen and nectar, as well as ripe fruit.
